Stratford Drive Residence
Austin, Texas
A home tailored to its natural setting features architecture that welcomes the outdoors inside.
Guests arrive at a shady, natural enclave and are lead to the home through soft landscaping. Transparent walls open the home up to nature and are bracketed by a palette of natural materials that travel seamlessly between outdoor and indoor spaces. The entry opens to a public zone that opens completely to the outdoors through large concealed pocketing doors. The living room features a timber wrapped light scoop, revealing the canopy of a large mature oak tree. A large terrace at the rear of the home includes a pool and outdoor living spaces that enjoy privacy and a backdrop of lush greenery.
The result is a relaxing retreat from the home’s bustling urban surroundings, appropriate for a family keen on a well refined design.
